1. International Women's Day 2018

    Each year, we acknowledge International Women’s Day in March, and this year we have taken it further by holding a ‘Vote 100’ Enrichment Day, with the whole of the Infant and Junior School taking part in celebrations and activities centred around #VOTE100 and #PressforProgress - the theme for International Women’s Day 2018.

  2. World Book Day

    Despite many of activities that were planned for World Book Day having to be postponed, many girls who managed to get into school, not only managed to battle the snow, but they did so in costume!

  3. ‘Naming the Dinosaurs’

    Geology students Rosie Down in Year 11 and Aemelia Hyde in Year 13 both won first prize in their respective GCSE and A-level age groups in a national competition involving designing a poster about naming dinosaurs.

  4. Wellbeing Week

    Our annual Wellbeing Week took place last week, offering a whole week of activities on the theme of Fitness and Health to students and staff to help us to beat the dark days of wintertime, banish the blues and look forward to spring.

  5. Year 12 Young Enterprise team cooks up a Social Media Storm

    Year 12 Young Enterprise Team, Palate, entered a social media impact competition before half term and came runners up out of over 50 entries from around the whole of the UK.

  6. Powerful Performances in Willy Russell's Blood Brothers

    You really needed to take your tissues for this year’s drama production, as in February we performed Willy Russell's celebrated classic Blood Brothers, about Mickey and Edward, twin boys separated at birth and growing up in different families.

  7. Design Day takes Year 9 on a Creative Journey

    Year 9 took a day off lessons in February to learn about careers and life in the creative industries. Year 9 Design Day demonstrated how an interest or qualification in Art can lead on to many different career paths, and not necessarily the ones you might expect.

  8. Annual SFSS U10 Netball Tournament

    The U10 netball teams had a great annual SFSS U10 Netball Tournament on Saturday 10 February with twenty four girls representing Sheffield Girls' and the team becoming U10 Sheffield champions!

  9. Key Steps Success!

    On Friday 9 February, 60 girls from Year 3 - 6 competed at the Sheffield round of the Key Steps Gymnastics competition. The competition acts as a qualifier for the South Yorkshire Winter Games which are held later on in the year with the top two teams in each category going on to represent Sheffield.

  10. Year 6 Breaking Chains

    Year 6 have linked their 'Breaking Chains' History topic with English this week and have been constructing their own persuasive arguments for why women should have the vote.
