The Lost Chord
During the Christmas holidays, the wonderful Chamber Choir performed to a packed Doncaster Minster with acclaimed soloist Lesley Garrett. They were raising money for the Dementia Charity Lost Chord and raised a phenomenal £8500!
An Afternoon of Sport with Nottingham High School
Sheffield Girls’ Year 5 and Year 6 teams travelled to Nottingham for a wonderful afternoon of sport with our friends at Nottingham Girls' High School on Wednesday 24 January, Year 5 played hockey and Year 6 a netball tournament, with other independent schools from around the local area.
Insight into Teaching
Sheffield Girls’ is delighted to launch its 2018 Insight Into Teaching programme. The programme is open to all and will consist of a fully immersive five-day experience taking place between 18-22 June 2018.

A Farewell to Eileen Stamper (1920 - 2017)
We were saddened to hear that former member of staff, Miss Eileen Stamper, passed away aged 97 on 24th December 2017. Eileen taught Latin Scripture and Greek at Sheffield High School from 1950 to 1962.
Y3 learn the Secrets of Ancient Egypt
In January, Year 3 kick-started their new topic on Ancient Egypt by spending a day at Weston Park Museum.
Success for Year 9 students in the BiG Challenge 11!
Our enterprising Year 9 teams have been successful in the first rounds of the eleventh BiG Challenge, an enterprise competition open to all Secondary Schools and Colleges in Sheffield.
ISI Inspection successfully passed
Sheffield Girls’ recently passed the Independent Schools Inspectorate's (ISI) Regulatory Compliance Inspection with flying colours, meeting all the requirements in every section.
