Facilities and Transport

Sheffield Girls’ is located in the leafy suburb of Broomhill in the centre of Sheffield, within walking distance of the major teaching hospitals and Sheffield University. 

Our Infant and Junior School buildings, with purposely designed learning spaces, are surrounded by lush green outdoor learning spaces and play areas that sit within the wider 9 acre school site, which includes our Senior School and Sixth Form. 

Pupils in our infant and junior school benefit from space: space to question and challenge, space to be resilient and courageous, space to be positive and kind.

Modern and well-equipped facilities are the foundation of Sheffield High School for Girls’ tradition of sporting excellence. All-weather pitches cater for outdoor sports like hockey, netball and tennis, while the School’s extensive sports complex including an indoor Sports Hall and separate Gym provides state-of-the-art accommodation for trampolining, gymnastics and dance. We introduce a variety of sports to pupils in PE as they progress through year groups with additional extra-curricular sports opportunities available from a young age.

When we want to explore further afield, our infant and junior minibuses provide quick access away from the city centre so that we can share as many new experiences and locations with our pupils as possible.
