1. Key Steps Success!

    On Friday 9 February, 60 girls from Year 3 - 6 competed at the Sheffield round of the Key Steps Gymnastics competition. The competition acts as a qualifier for the South Yorkshire Winter Games which are held later on in the year with the top two teams in each category going on to represent Sheffield.

  2. Year 6 Breaking Chains

    Year 6 have linked their 'Breaking Chains' History topic with English this week and have been constructing their own persuasive arguments for why women should have the vote.

  3. The Chrystall Prize

    On 6 February we were delighted to host the North Semi-Final of the highly regarded GDST Public Speaking Competition, the Chrystall Prize, in which Year 11 students speak for up to seven minutes on their allocated topic, and then are asked questions by the audience for up to three minutes.

  4. Junior Triple Weekend Win

    It has been an excellent weekend for our junior badminton, trampolining and hockey teams this weekend, with a ‘triple triumph’ of results.

  5. Dance Masterclasses are on topic!

    The Infant and Junior Schools have danced their way through the Autumn and Spring terms, as specialist dance teachers from the Constance Grant Dance Centre have been working with the girls in workshops linked to their studies.

  6. Young Divers Somersaulting to Success

    Sephora Ford in Year 10 and Jessica Vega in Year 11, both elite Divers at City of Sheffield Diving Club, have been selected to represent their club internationally in Holland at the Senet Cup in Eindhoven in February. This is a prestigious diving competition which showcases some of the most promising young divers in the world.

  7. Year 9 Tech Matters

    Careers in Computer Science and IT were top of the agenda on Monday 29 January when all of Year 9 had the opportunity to take part in ‘Tech Matters’, a careers event designed to inspire the girls and give them an insight into what further study and careers in Computer Science or IT could offer.

  8. What’s in a Scone?

    Our Year 5 girls have been having a great time this week in Design Technology, evaluating shop-bought and homemade scones for appearance, texture, aroma and, most importantly, taste!

  9. A Starman visits Year 4

    Year 4 had a visit from Sheffield's own Starman, Dennis Ashton, in January, as part of their Space project in Science. A fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and STEM Science Ambassador, Dennis took us on a tour of the Solar System and beyond!

  10. Cool to be Clever Club Debate Mate Day

    Debating challenges and 'Apprentice' style product pitches were the order of the day on Wednesday 24 January, as Year 11 mentors joined with Year 6 pupils from Sheffield primary schools to take part in a full day confidence building and communication workshop led by Debate Mate as part of the Cool to be Clever Club.
