1. Moonlight, Movies and Moana!

    On Friday 15 September we hosted a very special event to welcome old friends and new back to school for the autumn term, when our Infant, Junior and Year 7 parents, children and families were invited to a Moonlight Movie Night.

    On Thursday 14 September, the school, parents, teachers and governing body came together at the Octagon for Prize Giving, our annual celebration of academic and co-curricular achievements.

  3. A Packed day of Sport as the Northern Trust Rally comes to Sheffield Girls’

    On Tuesday 12 September, it was the turn of Sheffield Girls’ to host the Northern Trust Rally, welcoming our fellow Northern GDST schools (Newcastle, Belvedere, Birkenhead, Nottingham, Northampton and Shrewsbury) and bringing together approximately 600 extra girls on site for a packed day of sport.

  4. Sticks and Snails...

    Science club started again this year with the Year 7 and 8 girls looking at the stick insects & snails we have in Biology.

  5. Year 4 girls start the new school year with a trip to Bosworth Field

    On Thursday 7 September on only their second day back at school, Year 4 ventured forth to Bosworth Battlefield and Activity Centre to start off their topic on the Tudors and to understand how the Tudors came to power.

  6. Celebrations and smiles at Sheffield Girls' as pupils receive GCSE results

    The pupils and staff at Sheffield High School for Girls are celebrating outstanding GCSE results with 50 girls achieving the equivalent of at least eight straight A*/A grades.

  7. A-level results 2017

    Sheffield Girls' celebrates with 76% of A-Level entries graded A*-B. The percentage of entries awarded grades A*-C was an amazing 91% and a quarter of the 95 girls who sat A-Levels this year achieved straight A*/A results.

  8. Stars and Spins for Lucy

    Lucy Bland from Fulwood, is in a spin after receiving straight A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and Maths in her A-Level results. Lucy is going on to study Medicine at University College Oxford.

  9. Teya overcomes health condition to achieve straight A*/As

    Teya Staniforth from Ashover in Derbyshire, is celebrating after receiving A*A*A promising her a place at Durham University to study BioSciences.

  10. Junior and Infant International Culture Day

    On Thursday 8 June the infant girls headed up to Ashdell, and their junior girls joined us in Melbourne House for a day of exciting activities to celebrate our International Culture Day.
