    The Sheffield High School tennis team, consisting of Natalie Chan-Lam, Louise Holtum, Rachel Hopkins and Olivia Noble, have battled their way through four tough rounds to reach the Aegon National Schools Tennis Finals. The team faced their biggest challenge against Robert Smythe Academy, with both Natalie and Rachel beating much higher rated players. Natalie’s match was particularly exciting, being decided by a nail-biting 11-9 third set tiebreak.   8. Sixth Form students at Sheffield High qualify as netball umpires

    As one group qualifies, the next take the course! Ten sixth form students from Sheffield High School have recently qualified as Youth Umpires, having passed the assessment just as a new group of eight Year 10 pupils start their course.

  9. Sheffield High Pupils Enjoy GDST140 Olympics

    The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) Rally had an Olympic theme in June to kick start the 140 GDST Celebrations. Karen Pickering ex-GDST pupil and Olympic swimmer opened the GDST 140 Olympics with a rousing speech.

  10. Gymnasts head to the national finals

    Sheffield High School gymnastics teams will, once again, soon be off to the National Schools Gymnastics finals, this time in Stoke-on-Trent. The Under-11 and Under-14 teams came first in the recent regional championships in York and so therefore go forward to represent Yorkshire and Humberside.
