Mrs Helen Rodger
Helen Rodger was Head of HR Services at the University of Sheffield and has recently retired. Her two daughters Ailsa, working with the Family Nurse Partnership supporting teenage parents, and Esmé, leading marketing for L’Oréal Maybelline brand, attended Sheffield Girls’ for the entirety of their primary and secondary education.
Helen became a governor to give something back to the school, because of the great experience her daughters had as pupils and the huge impact it had on their lives. She has since contributed her valuable and flexible skills in HR and leadership.
In her spare time, Helen volunteers at the Broomhill Community Library and at Hardwick Hall, helping develop their conservation management plan and also as an education programme volunteer. She also loves going to the gym, cycling, walking and gardening to stay active, entertaining and going to the theatre.
