Under 10s teams back in action at Sheffield Federation for School Sports Netball Tournament
We were delighted to welcome back teams from across the city to Sheffield Girls’ this weekend for the Sheffield Federation for School Sports Under 10 Netball Tournament.
12 teams from 9 schools took part in over 40 matches in total. It was a thrilling and competitive day, enjoyed by all despite the chilly temperatures.
After a nail-biting finale, culminating in a golden goal decider, it was Dobcroft Juniors who took home the trophy as Tournament Winners. Congratulations to our own Under 10 teams who excelled themselves to win Silver and Bronze.
Emma Dickson, Joint Head of Infant and Junior School PE said: “It was so exciting to see these teams back at School enjoying friendly but competitive netball again. The girls learn so much by taking part in these sorts of events, both in relation to honing their skills on court but also in terms of developing their team building skills and understanding the ethos of good sportsmanship.”
It was a great day of sport and a fantastic opportunity to bring pupils from across Sheffield back together. We look forward to hosting the next SFSS Under 11 Netball Tournament on Saturday 19th March.
