The Summer Term gets off to a super start!
This Summer Term is not quite what we were expecting...but the sun is very much shining and we’re so pleased that our guided home learning resumed seamlessly on Monday.
There have been plenty of wonderful things happening this week. Firstly, a huge congratulations to the 11 students who achieved awards in the Year 10 Biology Challenge. This really is a fantastic achievement and we’re so proud of the girls who took part, despite the current situation. Samira, Alisa, Amelie, Millie, Aimee, Izzy, Maddie, and Hannah, you are all superstars!
We’ve also thoroughly enjoyed seeing the responses to the daily challenges set by our Junior School PE Team over on Twitter. They are posting plenty of great ways to stay active so if you would like a little inspiration, have a look here.
If you’re looking to do a spot of baking this weekend, we’re thrilled to share our latest Youtube star, Head of Cookery and Nutrition, Mrs Simpson, who has launched her own YouTube channel! The videos are designed to encourage the girls to continue with their practical lessons and try out new recipes (including one for some delicious chocolate cookies) aimed at Year 7 students. You can find her channel here.
Looking to next week, we’re excited to launch our 3D Virtual Tour of the school, so even though our doors might be closed for now, you can still have a look around our lovely facilities. Keep an eye out on our social media channels for the link. As ever, stay safe, positive and keep in touch. We feel incredibly lucky to have such a strong school community and we can’t wait for us all to come together again soon.
