Sheffield pupils decide their future at the Sheffield Girls’/Birkdale School Careers Fair 2020
We were delighted to host a Careers Fair with Birkdale School on Wednesday 12th February, welcoming a fantastic range of universities and industry professionals who were on hand to offer advice, guidance, and expert tips on the higher education and career paths available.
Carole Hall, Head of Careers said, “We were thrilled that so many students and parents from Sheffield Girls’, Birkdale and other local schools braved the cold to attend the Sheffield Girls’/Birkdale Biennial Careers Fair. This was a well-timed opportunity for students who are starting to make important decisions about their future to talk to employers, our alumna, parent professionals and universities to gain a better understanding of the exciting courses and careers that are available in a fast-changing world. Our students were able to use their all-important networking skills to explore potential work experience placements as well as asking key questions about how they should prepare themselves to make competitive applications to their preferred universities and potential careers.”
We were really pleased with the attendance and feedback from those who came. A big thank you to all of those who helped to organise this event and hope those who attended found it interesting and useful - we’re already looking forward to the next!
