Sheffield Girls' student Grace smashing it on the court and in the exam hall!
Huge congratulations to our wonderful Year 11 badminton champ Grace, on her fantastic GCSE results.
As well as smashing it on the court, Grace has achieved 7 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s in her GCSES. We are inspired by her dedication to both her sport and her studies.
Whilst preparing for her exams, Grace played at the Under 17 annual English National Championships. Grace truly made a racquet by achieving a gold medal in doubles and a bronze medal in singles.
Grace Said: “I'm so happy, I can't believe these are my results! I think that training alongside my studies has actually been a help rather than a drawback as it's really helped with my time management. My teachers have all been so understanding too, if I need an extension or more time with homework then they've always helped me. The support is brilliant and so encouraging. I'm looking forward to next year and studying maths, further maths, economics and computer science…well I’ll decide if I go ahead with all four or drop one.”
Sheffield Girls’ is proud to support our pupils to balance their out-of-school hobbies and sports with their studies and Grace will be returning to us in September to continue her brilliance in the Sixth Form.
