Sheffield Girls’ in top 5 independent schools in the North
Sheffield Girls’ has ranked in the top 5 independent secondary schools in the North, in Parent Power, The Sunday Times Schools Guide 2022. Widely acknowledged as the most authoritative survey of the country’s highest-achieving schools, we have been recognised as one of the best performing in the region.
Parent Power is a fully searchable national database that ranks the highest-achieving schools in the UK, and creates regional rankings that allow parents to compare school performance, examination results and inspection reports on a local level. This year, Parent Power has analysed assessment data from 2017-2019 which the editor Alastair McCall has said “provides parents with a more reliable guide to academic achievement in schools today”.
Head Nina Gunson said, “We are absolutely delighted to be placed in the top 5 independent secondary schools in the north and feel incredibly proud to see the extraordinary efforts of our pupils and staff reflected in this way. At Sheffield Girls’ we aim to nurture a love of learning, and encourage our students’ curiosity, providing opportunities for them to explore, question and challenge. Our School’s mission is to ‘teach her everything so she can be anything’, and we enable our pupils to develop their knowledge and skills, as well as their confidence, as they prepare to take their place and make a difference in an ever changing world.”
