Sheffield Girls' hosts fantastic An Evening of the Arts exhibition

On Tuesday 25th of June Sheffield Girls’ celebrated An Evening of the Arts. This was an incredible event that allowed the Sheffield Girls’ community to come together and honour fantastic art pieces, musical performances and theatrical talents from across the school.

Over 250 guests enjoyed performances by our students of music and drama as they viewed the final pieces and portfolios of our GCSE and A Level students. Our younger pupils also had the chance to show some of their work across a number of mediums, inspired by various artists.

With snippets from our latest Year 11 GCSE drama pieces to a sneak peek of our upcoming musical, our guests enjoyed a range of our students’ creative talents. Tranquil classical music renditions went hand in hand with Taylor Swift during an evening when there was something for everyone.

The standard of work on display was just incredible evidencing how hard our students have worked to achieve their final pieces. With spectacular artwork from Juniors to Year 13, you could really grasp the creativity and individuality across all year groups.

Alongside parents, carers, friends, alumnae, ex staff and governors, we welcomed the Lady Mayoress of Sheffield, Jayne Dunn, and Sheffield poet Danaé Wellington to the event, alongside guests from Sheffield Rotary Club and Friends of the Botanical Gardens.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our exhibiting artists, our amazing Art Department team and everyone who attended!.
