Sheffield Artists Colouring Book – Year 12 ‘LEAD’ the way with community fundraising project
We are delighted to share the excellent work of a team of our Year 12 students - Millie C, Sophie, Keira, Neev, Jerusalem, Millie H, Annabelle, Lily, Imogen, Esme and Zibei - who have created a fantastic colouring book with ten local Sheffield artists. There are a variety of art styles showcased within the book, including some Sheffield-based originals, and 100% of the proceeds are going to The Children’s Hospital Charity, which the girls have all relied upon at some point in their lives.
The team have created the colouring book as part of the Leadership Enterprise Advanced Diploma competition, a project supported by a unique partnership between with the Girls’ Day School Trust and London School of Economics and Political Sciences, with the aim of creating a business which benefits the local community.

The LEAD project gives students the opportunity to not only gain leadership and teamwork skills, but also experience both the creative and practical sides of running a business. Our teams also benefit from the support of LSE and GDST alumnae mentors, ensuring they have all the tools they need to develop their confidence and entrepreneurial skills, as well as build a successful product.
Having sold over 100 copies and being on track to raise over £1,200, we are very proud of our Year 12 team’s efforts to support The Children’s Hospital Charity and the local community. Fundraising for local, national and overseas charities is a key part of life at Sheffield Girls’. As well as our LEAD competition for Year 12, our pupils have opportunities across all year groups to volunteer, or to take part in our special initiatives within the community throughout the year.
