Mastering creativity at the National Art&Design Saturday Club
Congratulations to students in Years 9-11 Evie Cater, Juliette Keegan, Li Xiang, Greer Jackson and Lizzie Lumb, who have successfully gained places on the National Saturday Art & Design Club after demonstrating outstanding artistic potential. They will be part of a 24 week course working with professionals and developing their talent.
National Saturday Art & Design Club is a partnership with leading universities and colleges to provide free expert tuition to students between 13 and 16, Senior School age, ending with the opportunity to display their work in a major public exhibition at Somerset House, London. The club they will be based at Sheffield Hallam University’s Institute of Arts, and the girls will have the opportunity to create portraits with esteemed Sheffield based artist Jim Mcelvaney, try printmaking with designer Aprille Broomhead of online shop Scarlett and Valentine, and look to the future using new technology with Ben Tew from the SIA Creative Technology Lab.
