GDST Digital Tecathon is Music to our Ears!
On Friday 9 March a team of students from Year 6-10, Charlotte Curtis, Nikhita Das, Libby Davidson, Bushra Hasan, Abigail Holden, Haadiya Khan, Seren Walton and Maia Zee, represented the school in the GDST Digital Tecathon at South Hampstead High School.
The team had to work on a project to create, design, promote and sell (Dragon’s Den style!) a music/tech product. Our team came up with the idea of developing current research to support sufferers of Alzheimer's disease and dementia through the use of music.
The final product combined Virtual Reality technology with images and music to recreate a familiar and supportive virtual environment that users could enjoy. The judges were extremely impressed with not only the final product but the innovation, research and presentation that our team had undertaken – 1st prize was duly awarded to Sheffield Girls'!
