Community Fundraising Award for Master Cutlers Challenge
Sheffield Girls’ took part in another very successful Master Cutlers Challenge this year and were delighted to be raising money for the chosen charity, Bluebell Wood.
The girls had great fun with the task. They were given £50 to use to raise money during the summer term through community events like cake sales and running the Bluebell Wood stall at the Summer Serenade concert.
Coinciding with the Year 6 Taster Day, the Junior School had the chance to be involved too with students of all ages running stalls offering delicious snacks including bhajis, sweets and cookie dough. In total, the school raised an astounding £1300! The girls’ hard work and efforts were awarded with a lovely surprise in winning the Community Fundraising Award, which was presented by Mr and Mrs Godber to our charity prefects.
