A-mazing results all round
Sheffield Girls’ pupils, teachers and parents are over the moon with an amazing set of A-level results with 100% pass rate and an A-mazing 75% of girls achieving A*-B grades.
University destinations stretch right across the country from Dundee to Exeter and a diverse set of subjects from Theoretical Physics to Landscape Architecture will be studied by these girls when they begin the next stage of their education.
- Sophie Gill from Tickhill in Doncaster achieved A*A*A*A and will study Theoretical Physics at the University of Manchester.
- Rebecca Farris, who joined Sheffield Girls’ in reception will study business management and marketing at Cardiff University. She achieved A*AB.
- Drama students Eleanor Hughes and India de Rocha Humberstone gained top grades. Eleanor received A*AB and will study History at the University of Lancaster. India received AAA and will study Law at the University of Edinburgh.
- Nayana Dasgupta, who joined Sheffield Girls’ in Reception achieved A* AAA and will study Computer Science at University College London. Nayana was also the recipient of an Arkwright Scholarship and in 2016 won the ‘One to Watch’ at the everywoman Technology Awards.
- Frankie Grech from Fulwood achieved the required grades and will study French and Linguistics at the University of Oxford.
- Sylvie Hettema from Fulwood achieved AAA and will study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde.
- Freya Nolan from Grindleford achieved AAB and will study History at the University of Liverpool.
- Katie Winter from Fulwood achieved AAA and will study Biomedical Sciences at the University of Birmingham.
- Aleena Waseem from Wincobank achieved AAA and will study History at the University of Oxford.
- Zeba Azeem from Fulwood achieved A*A*AA and will study Medicine at Imperial College, London.
- Abigail Morton from Hillsborough achieved A*AA and is going onto study an Art Foundation course at Leeds Arts University.
- Charlotte Parker from Fulwood achieved A*AA and will study Classics at the University of Birmingham
- Safa Petkar from Fulwood achieved A*AA and will study Medicine at Imperial College, London.
- Mariana Pilakoutas from Nether Edge achieved AAA and will study Medicine at the University of Edinburgh.
- Hannah Roberts from Doncaster achieved A*AA and will study Medicine at the University of Manchester.
- Megan Tolley from Wickersley in Rotherham achieved A*A*A and will study Dentistry at the University of Newcastle.
- Tiegan Walker from Ecclesall will study Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University in 2019 after a year out working at Sheffield Girls. She achieved A*A*A.
- Amy Marsden from Rotherham achieved AAB and will study Landscape Architecture and Design at the University of Sheffield.
- Megan Jones from Fulwood achieved A*AA and will study Economics at the University of Nottingham.
