A Future in Art

Each year, the Rotary Club of Abbeydale showcases the incredible talent of Sheffield’s young artists in an exhibition of outstanding work by senior level students at Sheffield Town Hall. At the end of October, the work of six talented students from last year’s Year 13, and two current Year 13 students, Sophie Myers and Anna Eason, was chosen for the Exhibition, entitled ‘Arts and Futures’.

Anna used acrylic water based oils to create a river landscape. She said ‘It felt like a great achievement to have my work selected for this event and it was inspiring to see the work of other young artists from around the Sheffield area.’

Sophie added: ‘It was so nice to see my work at the Town Hall, out of the classroom environment and amongst a diverse group of paintings by students from other schools’.
