On Thursday 7 September on only their second day back at school, Year 4 ventured forth to Bosworth Battlefield and Activity Centre to start off their topic on the Tudors and to understand how the Tudors came to power.
The 52 girls, four staff and four parents went on a guided walk where they learnt and saw where the battle took place, and acted out the battle using flags and crowns.
During the walk, they had a workshop with a soldier from the battle where they learnt commands and how to use different weapons to defeat the enemy. They also went into an exhibition to learn a bit more about how the battle came about and what happened after it had finished.
Hannah said, ‘I really loved the Soldier workshop and finding out how to defeat the enemy with different weapons!’
Alice said, ‘The exhibition was really interesting and I particularly liked dressing up!’
